Pandemic vs Propaganda: A Plandemic Indoctrination Conspiracy Tale – Part One

As much as I prefer to write on other topics, current events continue to present speaking points that are best presented in a conspiracy tale. So, the craziness continues in Canada. Calgary has now announced they will be enacting “No Free Speech Zones” that target free speech of persons who want to address subjects non-congruent with the NWO agenda or narrative. The Nation’s supreme leader and his cohort of complicit crooks continue to spend our country into the deepest, darkest debt hole our Nation has ever experienced. Getting in is easy. Getting out will cost the future of 25-generations. It is very curious how our system of government does not have a mechanism to end a corrupt regime from collapsing the country. Protecting our Nation from all enemies foreign and domestic, is that not the oath of the military?? We have domestic enemies in the house of power. They have manipulated emergency event that allowed them to invoke emergency powers and shutdown the Nation, confine the citizens to their homes, limit movement, close businesses, close schools, close churches, close fitness facilities and de-populate the hospitals for an influx of patients that never materialized. The Draconian measures did not stop there. Overreaching gun control measures, proroguing parliament, extending the COVID-19 lockdown, the WE charity scandal, emergency relief funding, and now “masks” are very important. No debate. No votes by elected representatives. And now, the rhetoric is increasing towards a “second-wave” to justify more authoritarian measures. Schools are back; however, the restrictions are over the top for the actual magnitude of this event. Not to sound too harsh, and for the families of those who perished from COVID-19 this is not to minimize your loss, however, only about 9200 Canadians have died from this pandemic 9200 / 37,000,000 = a non-statistically significant value! We are destroying our country for what reason again?? The criminals in Ottawa need to be held accountable for their actions and inactions. We are destroying our country for a disease that has a 99.9% survival rate! Wake up people! We are being played! Masks made sense in January, February and March; before we knew enough about the pathology of this disease. That is behind us. Wearing a mask by those not infected is a pure PSYOPS – psychological operation. If you are wearing a mask out of fear, get off your arse and do your own research! Masks are not the answer for the healthy and it is questionable if these masks serve a purpose for those who are infected. Right now, wearing a mask by an uninfected person shows a willingness to capitulate to a directive from people who are supposed to serve you, not dictate to you. The pandemic has become an exercise in power. Well misery likes company and Canada is not alone in their suffering.

Our Commonwealth Allies and friends in Australia continue to be abused by their local government. Border control points between their states. Children have been separated from their parents and taken to hospitals in a different state that the parents cannot enter. There are nightly curfews. And, allegedly, the night skies are filled with frequent flights arriving from China – WHY?? Totalitarianism seems to be on the rise. Too bad Australia was disarmed a couple decades ago. When the State has a monopoly on violence it will be more difficult for the citizens to stand up and say, “No more!”

Our neighbours to the South, God Bless Them! They need more help than can be rendered by only a neighbour. Marxist terror groups rioting and destroying American cities. Foreign funds funding protestors/rioters to cause havoc and chaos. And the most divisive election in living memory is only a couple months away. Humble the smugness, that Marxist trouble has infected Canada, too. There is a storm coming and it is going to hit more than just our American neighbours.

You may be asking, “Mountainman, what is the Big Picture?” I am happy you asked…If you have read the previous Conspiracy Tales you may recall that I have suggested that all of these events are NOT isolated. Everything is connected. There is a concerted effort being made to rid the planet of FREEDOM & LIBERTY! A large communist effort to bring collectivism to every home around the planet. Communism is NOT sexy. Communism is NOT cool. COMMUNISM is CRUEL and OPPRESSIVE!! To all the “Useful Idiots”, the role you are currently playing will come to a brutal end once your masters are in power. If you have not read any history, you might not know that those “useful idiots” who aid the communists into power are usually killed once their usefulness has expired. Do yourself a favour now, while you still can, and read Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago (volumes 1, 2 & 3). Hear firsthand what happened in the Soviet Gulags and re-evaluate your love of collectivism.

This current pandemic/plandemic has had more success in crushing Western Civilization in six-months than a century of open or clandestine warfare!! If we stay quiet and refuse to stand up, it is likely we could enter into the final stages in our lifetime. How many people around the planet do not even question wearing a mask?? How many people do not question being told they cannot gather?? How many people do not question why they cannot attend church, while it is okay for dirtbag ANTIFA terrorists to ravage a city?? ANTIFA doesn’t observe social distancing when they are swarming a neighbourhood or an entire city. Has life been too easy for too long?? Are all people soft?? Since when have such weak governments had so much control over the citizens?? I was going to list the “useful idiots”, those poor souls who are being sucked into this storm and do not know any better. Then, again, what are the odds any actually read my Blog?? Okay a partial list. Without a doubt ANTIFA and BLM Inc, those folks are being used by the Marxist machine to wreak havoc and when it is over their usefulness will be expired. The First Nations/Indigenous People your call for reconciliation is being exploited and you are being deceived by the social justice billionaires funding your protests. The LBGTQ movement you, too, are being exploited and if the Marxist achieve power you too will be in danger of a level of violence incomprehensible in today’s world. The feminist you have helped seed division in the community which the Marxists appreciate, however, that usefulness has a limit. In general, any organization that has division as its central mission is being exploited by the Marxists. You are doing their bidding and you likely have no clue what a Marxist is. Maybe you have heard of communism or maybe not. It is not the socialist utopia presented in books like Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. George Orwell’s 1984 is much closer.

Now, the powers that be, those communist dogs wanting to kill, subvert, trick or connive their way into power or stay in power they have another list – a list of threats to a stable communist regime. That list contains a lot of good people, people who do not deserve to be hunted and killed. This list will be a concern for those who love FREEDOM & LIBERTY!! Free thinkers. Independent & self-sufficient types. Folks who have property. Scientist (not the politically controlled or bought scientist). Teachers who do not teach the Marxist curriculum. Doctors and nurses who will not help in the vaccination regime (not talking about MMR or Polio vaccines here). Firearms owners. Military leaders who resist Marxist doctrine. Police members who will not obey the narrative. Parents who teach their children well and not from the book of Marx. Preachers and Ministers who will not change the Lord’s Teachings. Non-union workers. Entrepreneurs. This list should sound familiar the pattern has been used for over one hundred years by every despot and dictator around the planet. This is going to need to be a multi-part post. Time is short and there is lots to share. I will end part one here.

Until next time…question the status quo! More to follow.

New JEEP Wagoneer - A Missed Opportunity

Livingstone River, K-Country, Alberta

New Jeep Grand Wagoneer, from Jeep Canada's Website
What were the executives at Jeep thinking?? If you are going bring back a legend, like the Wagoneer, WHY would you re-create the legend to look like a four-door minivan!!??

I am very happy to hear that the Jeep Wagoneer is back, I am just a little disappointed it seems to be targeted towards a market that is inundated with purchase options and not towards enthusiastic  Wagoneer drivers.

2016 Jeep Concept Crew Chief 715 from www.allpar.com
Had Jeep kept to their heritage, maybe the Wagoneer could have had more in common with the 2016 Jeep concept Crew Chief 715. Now, the Crew Chief looks like a Wagoneer...a pickup version of a Wagoneer, but still a classic Wagoneer. Look at that Gladiator grill!! I am not sold on non-directional tires, but tires are easier to change than the body of a vehicle. Imagine a Wagoneer family that had a convertible, crewcab pickup and a wagon version. This would have been the perfect platform to create the NEW legendary Wagoneer from.

Concept from papercruiser.com

The overland concept from  papercruiser.com did a better job of creating a Wagoneer than Jeep did.

My first vehicle was a 1970 Jeep Wagoneer with a Buick 350 under the hood (Winter camping in 1987, picture below). My third vehicle was a 1976 Jeep Wagoneer with a 360 under the hood. Those two Wagoneers took me a lot of places and helped create a lot of memories of good times.

JEEP if you are listening, use the Crew Chief 715 as your platform for the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and bring back a LEGEND!!

Until next time...share your opinion!

Micro Chest Rig - Universal, Designed & Prototyped by SATAS Co

Mt. Livingstone, K-Country, Alberta (Photo by V.A. McMillan)

Micro Chest Rig - Universal (Shotgun and AR)
A new Micro Chest Rig designed and prototyped by SATAS Co. This latest version tried to solve an issued discovered from the earlier Micro Shotgun Rig design; namely, eliminating the bowing in the pocket holding the spare shotshell cards.

In case you missed the earlier Blog posts:

Micro Chest Rig - GSG MP-40

Before I get into explaining the fix, let's have a look at the new micro rig...

Micro Chest Rig - Universal (Bare)
This micro rig was designed to hold a set of shotshell cards on the Velcro type panels on the front of the magazine pouches. Further, the magazine pouches can also be used to hold a second set of shotshell cards.

These magazine pouches were designed to be universal to hold either metal GI style mags or P-Mag type plastic magazines. Originally, I was going to employ elastic cord retainers to hold mags in place and the webbing tabs are there to do that. I found that the mag pouches were quite deep and magazines or shotshell cards would not likely fallout during an average range practice; however, a serious run & gun set of shooting drills would encourage the use of elastic retainers to be used to prevent lost mags.

The next noticeable feature is the front drop flap. The drop flap has a compact document pouch that is closed with Velcro-type closure tape. The back/inside of the drop flap has elastic to hold a TQ and a battle dressing or two. Although, the two 3/4" side-release buckles do a great job of holding the drop flap in place, the drop flap also suffers from bowing out in the centre. This will be resolved on the next prototype.

Drop Flap Pouch - Open

Drop Flap - Dropped Showing Elastic for TQ & Battle Dressing

Micro Chest Rig - Universal (Full View with Drop Flap Down)
To the right, is the full view of the Micro Chest Rig - Universal with plastic mags and shotshell cards in place and the drop flap open fully.

I used the Rhodesian style harness, again. It seems to work well, so, no need to fix that at this time.

Below, is the fix for the first Shotgun Micro Chest Rig. I built a short 3/4" webbing strap to Velcro from the back to the front of the ammo pocket to limit/prevent the pocket from bowing or deforming when under load. It seems to work well, but it now interferes with removal of the shotshell cards. C'est la vie!

The last images are the plans I worked from, maybe others will try to create their own version. If you have followed the development of these prototypes, maybe you will solve some of the challenges I have found.

Until next time...if it doesn't work the way you like, make it better.

Isola Peak, Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada - West Ridge Hike

First summit since 2016. It has been too long. School has ended for another semester and I needed a break. A little hobo camping in my truck for a short week in K-Country. The road takes me up beyond the crowds to a large meadow at the road's end. After crossing at least two removed culverts I am not sure I am in favour of the practice of deactivating roads after the logging companies have had their fill of harvesting timber. Camp for the next five days will be in the shadow of Isola Peak (http://www4.rncan.gc.ca/search-place-names/unique.php?id=IALZQ&output=xml). My Backroads Mapbook suggests the summit is 2494 metre, however, my barometric altitude said it was 2500 metres. Not a tall mountain in K-Country but also one that does not see too much traffic.

A close up of Isola Peak and the West Ridge (top) and the key points of the route looking up (bottom). There is a large meadow at the end of the road and then a small logged block. The route I selected followed the right-hand edge of the logged block (right when looking up). I aimed for the top right corner and then entered into the forest heading for the first open slope on the minor feature (below).

The trail through the forest looked like this (below):

There were numerous game trails in the area and this one appeared to be a major game down route. There are many cross trails and getting off-course is a possibility. This is not a guided route to the peak and if you lack bushcraft and navigation skills, this may not be a good hike to attempt.

So, once you exit the forest into the lower open slope of the minor feature, keep to the left side and trudge on up to the top. Again, there were numerous game trails to follow up to the next open slope. I arrived right of centre on the upper open slope. Continue to trudge up the open slope and there is a large Pine snag top centre, easy to find on the way back.

The West Ridge as seen from the top of the upper open slope (below):

Again, there are game trails on the backside of the minor feature, pick one that points in the direction of Isola Peak (hint, go to your left). It was a windy day on my hike and the leeward side of the minor feature was an enjoyed place for a water break before pushing out onto the exposed West Ridge and the hike to the top. Oh, did I mention this is Grizzly country?? My bad. I saw four Grizzlies in two days while at my campsite. A young male Silvertip Grizzly and a couple days later, a huge Mama Griz and two large cubs - this family was all a dark charcoal colour. So, keep your wits about you when exploring in their part of the forest. Some sort of bear repellent is recommended. I know my preferred type, but bring what you are most comfortable with. I did not encounter any bears while on my hike.

Once you exit the sheltered lee of the minor feature you enter the saddle to Isola Peak and when you look up it looks like this:

The slope is fairly steep from here to the summit. Footing is loose scree and broken rock and three rock bands. There is "NO TRAIL", you must do your own route finding. Generally, what I found was, I started on the lower left (left when looking uphill) and worked my way to the right-hand edge of the rock band above me. Each rock band seemed to be taller, steeper and more rugged on the left than on the right (when looking up). The slope seemed uniform with no side being any less steep.

Looking back at the lower rock band

Looking up at the middle rock band

There is one more band of rock just below the summit, and again keep to the right and you should be able to pick a route to meet your needs. The top of Isola Peak is more than 95% broken rock with a few minor flat spots which hold some vegetation and level spot that could host a small mountaineering tent but not much more. There is enough grade on the summit that landing a helicopter would be unlikely. A hover exit on the cliff bands might be possible, when it is not windy.

The summit of Isola Peak is marked with a stone cairn and a large stick, which is visible from the bottom.

There was a Pika living in the cairn, but I could not convince the little fellow to pose for a picture. Looking West you can see some of the taller mountains in K-Country, as well as, some of the peaks on the BC/Alberta border.

Looking towards the Prairies and the Livingstone River

Looking from Livingstone River towards Isola Peak

The slope from Livingstone River to the summit looks much gentler than the West Ridge, however, the route is about three times as far, or that is my best guess as I have not traveled that route.

After a short stay on the summit to drink some water, eat some food and capture some pictures it was time to descend back down the West Ridge.

Unlike the scree runs on Yamnuska Mountain, the West Ridge is more down climbing than scree running. The mix of broken rock and scree is a bad mix if you lose control of your descent and injury is always likely. Thankfully, my one oops only rewarded me with road rash from ankle to knee on my right leg. Help is a long ways away and rescue from here would be long and painful for both the injured and the rescuers. Only you can keep you unbroken in the hills.

This was my first hike of Isola Peak and I am old and out of shape...six-hours up and back. A healthy, young soldier would likely complete the same trip in 3 1/2 to 4 hours. The route was not long in distance, around 1.5 kilometres each direction and the elevation gain was around 430 metres. A good challenge and rewarding views from the summit. I recommend this adventure to those with the skills and experience to do this trip without the aid of others. Those without the required skills and/or experience would want to be in a small group, just in case you need to solve problems.

Until next time...get out and hike something!

Micro Rig - GSG MP-40 Design and Pics - Another SATAS Co Proto-type

Big Rock, Foothills County, Alberta, Canada
Another day, another proto-type. This time a micro rig for a GSG MP-40.

This micro rig utilizes a signal smoke pouch, a 4"x 4" x 6" utility pocket and 5 mag pockets (horizontally mounted); as well as, the standard admin pocket where everything is mounted to.

These mag pockets have a snug fit and hold most of the magazine inside the pocket, as such, flaps are not required.

The other feature to mention was the addition of a water bottle carrier on the waist belt - a horizontally mounted pouch that holds a 32 ounce Nalgene water bottle. The side release buckle is mounted exposed to aid in opening the pouch while wearing the micro rig.

The primary fabric for this project was 1000 denier Cordura in Woodland with a 600 denier polyester pack cloth as the backing material. Combined with polypropylene webbing, this gear should have a long service life.
If called upon to recreate this design I would increase the volume of the magazine pockets. This proto-type used 1.5" for the sides and 1" for the top dimensions for each pocket. I would increase that to 1.75" for the sides and 1.25" for the top. I would keep the finished length at 8.25".

Also, I would put a bottom panel on the utility pouch to give more volume and less fabric to sew through to finish the pocket.

The Rhodesian style harness seems to work well, so no need to change that at this time. An "H" harness could be a future option, but not at this time.

Until next time...make more gear!!

Mountainman.

The following images are the design plans I worked from to create this proto-type.
